My five point agenda for the democratic congress

1. Fight like hell to repeal the Military Commissions Act of 2006 and restore Habeas Corpus protections to the US Constitution.

2. Work with NATO to establish an orderly timetable for withdrawl from Vietraq.

3. Repeal the PATRIOT Act. 'Nuf said.

4. Prosecute Diebold now and repair the voting in this country while you have a chance.

5. Work with the Democratic Governors -- now a majority -- to redraw congressional districts to solidify Democratic majorities, as Tom Delay did in Texas.

Congress doesn't have the power to do either of these.

5. Work with the Democratic Governors -- now a majority -- to redraw congressional districts to solidify Democratic majorities, as Tom Delay did in Texas.

And doing this is the first sign that they need to be kicked out of office. We can only hope that some kind of method can be found to design fair districts.

Gerrymandering is wrong, no matter who does it. The people should select their representatives, not the other way 'round. That Tom Delay or anyone else has done this in the past does not justify it.
