 Zell Miller about to switch?

I'm listening to Zell Miller's rant against the Democratic Party and it sounds like he is gearing up to switch parties.

I really hope he becomes a Republican. This is the same guy who, as a congressional candidate in 1964, not only pledged to vote against the Civil Rights Act, but also attacked those who were pushing it with racially incendiary language. He said President Lyndon Johnson "is a southerner who has sold his birthright for a mess of dark porridge."

There is no room in the Democratic Party for bigotry, but there seems to be a lot of room under the Republican tent.
